Image
Produced by: Josue Santillan Jr.     Deforestation is one of the major problems in the Philippines. People cut trees in forests, and this has become a serious issue.        First, excessive tree-cutting is harmful because trees absorb water to help prevent floods. While trees are natural resources, many people cut them irresponsibly. Filipinos should avoid cutting trees unnecessarily.        If people reduce or stop cutting trees, we can prevent related problems. Solutions include planting more trees—their roots absorb water to curb flooding, and they take in carbon dioxide while releasing oxygen for us to breathe.        When people stop cutting trees recklessly, these issues can be avoided. Trees also prevent soil erosion and landslides. To secure a better future, Filipinos should start reforestation efforts and follow guidelines to protect and save "Mother Earth."        In conclusion, def...
